Visitor counts are estimates
Distinct browser identities are not an exact count of physical people. Sleeping, hidden, or blocked browsers can be unmeasured.
Public website traffic
Administration, private account flows, and the contents of forms or pages are excluded from advanced measurement.
A rolling reporting window
Advanced detail follows a 30-day retention window. Basic reports can retain earlier totals.

- Review the selected timeframe, activity chart, and a measured visitor roster. Online means a recent visible-tab heartbeat, not a guaranteed continuously connected person.
Understand your audience and growth
- Explore public pages, traffic sources and campaign labels, approximate locations, devices, browsers, engagement, and recorded events.
- Use the map and report filters to focus on the traffic relevant to your website. Export includes the information currently shown, not an unbounded full history.
Know what the measurements cover
- Detailed measurements start while Analytics is installed and public pages are published. Administration, private account flows, and visitor page/form contents are excluded.
- Distinct browser identities are estimates of visitors, not a count of physical people. Missing geography or referrer information remains unavailable; blocked, sleeping, or hidden browsers can be unmeasured.
- Advanced history follows a rolling 30-day retention window. Earlier totals can remain in basic traffic reports.
Pause or return later
- Uninstalling stops new advanced collection and removes private advanced report access, while retaining records within their retention window.
- Reinstalling resumes collection and restores retained reports. Basic Overview analytics continues without the app.
- Custom conversion goals, commerce revenue attribution, and longer advanced-history retention are planned separately.
